Arzens in the Cathar country

Far from places saturated by the excesses of tourism exists a luminous region which sleep peacefully between its brooks and its stony paths. With its fresh valleys and its softly hills, the Malepère spreads out vast forests of oaks (les yeuses). You will be able to go for long walks in the sloping meadows where run the carefree herds of goats and deer, under the inquisitor eye of the birds of prey. In the highest of summer, when the evening comes, the air fills of thousand perfumes of hot meadows. The Malepère falls asleep gently and restores to you a little of this harmony extracted from the winds of its generous nature, as can be this land with the agitated history, this thousand-year-old Cathar country which reappears today, like the Laurel, seven centuries after the famous prediction.

We will be happy to welcome you in our 3 CHAMBRES D'HOTES. They are located in the western part of the house. All three have an independent access. They are equipped with beds of quality. Each one has a privative water room with wash-hand basin, shower and wc. The morning, in the dining room, will be served to you a copious french breakfast.

The evening come, after one day spent to discover the thousand and one treasures whose history made gift to the Cathar countr, you will be able to relax you in the garden by tasting aperitif and fresh drink, before sitting you to the TABLE D'HOTES to share user-friendliness and discover the gastronomy of this region. Among the impossible to circumvent ones, the cassoulet, of course! But also the fish with its small vegetables and the sauce cream lemon, the fowl with tarragon, stuffed tomatoes, the filet mignon with onion marmelade, etc... The whole will be accompanied by wine of the vintage, one of these wonders of balance produced with some steps from here by the vine growers of the hills of the MALEPERE.
